A woman with several thousand dollars in her purse was robbed early Monday outside a gaming venue in Wisconsin.
The only robber snatched her bag while she and her spouse walked back to their car.
The pair was at Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison on New Year’s Eve, where she won an undisclosed sum of money. The couple departed from the property around 2 a.m.
According to Wisconsin TV station WKOW, a man came up to them outside and requested a ride.
The pair declined to offer him a lift. He subsequently took the handbag and fled.
When the Madison Police Department (MPD) officers got there, the suspect was no longer in the vicinity.
As of the beginning of this week, MPD officers were still looking for the robber. Local news reports did not provide a description, but the officers might have received details about the robber from the victims. Officers may have also examined surveillance footage to see the suspect.
Both victims seemed to have not sustained injuries during the robbery.
