A ground-breaking milestone was reached for the 700,000 square foot gaming and entertainment haven known as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon by Hard Rock International and the Tejon Indian Tribe. The flagship venue features 2,500 slot machines, 48 table games, fine dining, and a dedication to having a positive economic impact and influencing Kern County's future.

Tejon Tribe and Hard Rock Break Ground on Premier 700,000 Square Foot Casino

Hard Rock International, a global gaming and entertainment company, and the Tejon Indian Tribe, the only federally recognized tribe in Kern County, California, celebrated the groundbreaking of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon, a brand-new gaming, hospitality, and entertainment complex located on Tejon Tribal land. 

The new hotel and casino complex will be located at the intersection of Hwy. 166 and Sabodan Road, west of the Mettler community.

Representatives from Hard Rock, as well as dignitaries and members of the Tejon Indian Tribe and the surrounding community, attended the momentous occasion. Using commemorative shovels, almost two dozen people broke ground for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon during the event.

The new, 700,000-square-foot premier hotel and casino is expected to take up this space. Encompassing 150,000 square feet, the gaming area will feature 48 table games, video poker machines, and 2,500 of the most popular slots.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon is expected to have a fine dining establishment called Council Oak Steaks and Seafood in addition to the well-known Hard Rock Cafe and a Rock Shop. These and other amenities ought to be accessible following the completion of the ambitious project's first phase, which is anticipated to occur roughly 22 months after the groundbreaking.

Phase Two of Hard Rock Tejon: 400 Rooms, Events, and Entertainment

Following that, a further twenty months should be needed for phase two of the project, which involves finishing the hotel and casino. In the second phase of the project, the 400-room Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon is expected to open. It will have additional dining options, a spa, a pool, and a cigar lounge. 

The new casino and hotel will also likely have a Hard Rock Live event space that can accommodate sporting events and concerts.
